Lavender – Ordering Info

September 15th, 2016 by Jacki

ROYAL-VELVET-3

With Fall rapidly closing in, here’s a reminder for those who saw our previous post and new info for those of you who didn’t. Any orders for plants, both wholesale and retail, will not ship until April of 2017.

For our wholesale customers, plan now and get your orders in before the end of the year to secure your plants for spring. Remember that we have a 4 tray minimum order. (Tip – Order even numbers of trays – they fit more securely in our shipping boxes) To place your order go to our wholesale page, download and complete the order form and submit to us via email (info@victorslavender.com) or fax (360 683-7830).

A note on shipping – it’s expensive. Many of you are unpleasantly surprised at the cost and we don’t blame you. We are continually looking for more economical ways to ship our plants to arrive at your location safely and in good health. Unfortunately the options are few. A box with 4 trays will weigh between 48 and 52 pounds and cost to ship is between $50 and $100+ depending on your location. Time in transit is critical and we have found that we have had the most success with Priority Mail for those orders going to the Midwest and East Coast. Rumor has it that UPS will be raising rates after Christmas this year.

As always, if you have questions the best way to contact us is by sending us an email.  The ‘Man with the Answers’ is traveling far and wide this fall with consulting but we will respond as quickly as possible.

On another note – be sure to check out our products under the Retail Store Tab.       CHRISTMAS BOX CONTENTS
Many of the products we make here on the farm are available to our wholesale customers for resale in gift shops. Contact us at products@victorslavender.com for more information.

Nearly Sold Out Again

January 6th, 2016 by Jacki

Two and a half Inch PotGREENHOUSEThree and a Half Inch Pot

Our plants are so popular across the country that we are sold out of most varieties for delivery this spring. We’ve added a new greenhouse to accommodate for our growth last season and still we can’t keep up with the increased demand this season.

We are overwhelmed and grateful for the confidence people have in our lavender plants but we have real mixed emotions about this situation. We are absolutely thrilled that our plants are selling so well but dismayed that we may not be able to completely fill orders that come in now. Any orders received after today will not be available to ship until at least June which may be too late for successful planting in some parts of the US and Canada and that will be for select varieties only.

If you want to order plants, please download the order form, fill it out and submit it to us as soon as possible. (Please remember that there is a 4 tray minimum order) Victor will review the orders and let you know via email what we will be able to provide for you. If you are looking for X Intermedia, they should still be in fairly good supply.

As June is skirting the edge of planting season in many regions we highly encourage you place orders now for fall delivery and planting. Ordering early is the surest way to guarantee you receive all the varieties you want.

Taking Orders For 2015

Ok, here’s where we are now……out of lavender plants. (Or just about anyway) The demand for lavender this spring was incredible. Way beyond what we had anticipated. We did manage to fulfill our pre-season orders and most of  the orders that came in later. Some of you may not have gotten all of the plants you wanted or maybe not a particular variety you were hoping for but we did the best we could. This high demand for our lavender plants has left us short of plants for those of you who want to plant this fall. Most major orders will not ship until spring 2015. We propagated everything we could lay our hands on to fill orders and our greenhouses were absolutely bulging. Those bulging greenhouses are now feeling pretty spacious.

We still have some of the old standby varieties and can handle orders for a few trays here and there. If there is something you are looking for send us an email with your wish list and we’ll see what we can do. There might still be a rabbit or two left in the hat.
Place your order now for 2015!

More News on Lavender Availability for Spring 2014

March 15th, 2014 by victor

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

There are two ways to look at this….For us it’s good news….We are now totally sold out of wholesale quantities of all varieties of Lavender until next fall. It’s not so good news for those of you who have not yet ordered or placed your order just recently……you may not be receiving your entire order, or depending on what you ordered, may not receive it until mid to late June or until fall. We cannot guarantee that all varieties will be available. We hate to disappoint any of you by not being able to supply the plants you were hoping for but once again, and we hate to nag, this is the importance of placing pre-season orders. We know it’s hard to think about Spring Planting when it’s cold outside and the reindeer haven’t even landed on your roof yet but it needs to be done to guarantee your order.

Our field stock for many varieties is very limited. We have plenty of Grosso but it is now too late to start propagating. The plants are already starting to build flowers. We have acquired some more greenhouse space but this isn’t going to help us with the availability of the plants until fall.

Please keep in touch with us via email, info@victorslavender.com,  regarding your order. If you haven’t placed an order yet, send us a ‘Wish List’ and we will do our very best to have it available for you in the fall.

Plan Now For Lavender Planting 2014

August 20th, 2013 by victor

live-plants-LWe don’t want to nag so we’ll just call it a friendly reminder, but it’s already time to start thinking about next year’s lavender plants. We need to start our propagating soon in order to have plants that will be ready to ship when you are ready to plant. By placing a pre-season order, you will be guaranteed to have the plants in the varieties you need when you are ready to plant those new lavender fields. As an added bonus, any plant order of $1,000.00 or more, received by December 31, 2013, will receive a 10% discount. We require a 10% deposit at the time you place the order but you will not be charged for the balance of your order until they are shipped to you. The lavender plants will ship in the spring at a time appropriate for planting in your area.

Take some time and review our available varieties of Lavandula X Intermedia, Angustifolia and Stoechas. If you don’t see the lavender you are looking for just send us an email at info@victors lavender.com. We may already have it. We are always acquiring  new lavender varieties and many aren’t yet listed on our website or order form.

While you are cruising our website for lavender plants, have a look at all of our great lavender products and gifts. This year we started making all of our own lavender products and they have been a huge success. People love them. We opened a gift shop on our farm here in Sequim this summer and the products are selling like crazy. We have everything from lavender goat milk soaps and lotions to lavender pet products as well as products for the home and gifts for some of your favorite lavender fans. If you have a gift shop at your location and would be interested in carrying our products give us a call and we would be happy to discuss our wholesale program with you.

So sit back, relax and envision your new lavender field.
