This is the first annual BC Lavender Workshop and it promises to be a great one!

This will be a unique opportunity for you to learn from some of the experts as they share their knowledge and experience during this workshop. It will include speakers from both the industry and academic fields and is geared toward both growers and academics. Here’s the big plus – wait for it – it will give you a chance to meet and talk with the man behind Victor’s Lavender, Victor Gonzalez! Victor will be discussing strategies used by lavender growers in the US to sustain a profitable lavender growing business. Other speakers during this event include

  • Dr. Soheil Mahoud presenting an overview of current lavender research
  • Dr. Ping Liang on applications of genomics approaches in studying lavender
  • Dr. Ben Sutton will be discussing the operations of a lavender business in BC
  • Ms. Andrea McFadden will be speaking on the challenges faced by small scale lavender farms to create a successful Agro-tourism business in the Okanagan.
