Culinary LavenderHere’s an idea for breakfast on Thanksgiving (or any day) – Banana Blueberry Muffins with Lavender. Found it on allrecipes.com. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/banana-blueberry-muffins-with-lavender/detail.aspx. The recipe was contributed by Suzanne Hale and she says “These muffins are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. The lavender gives the flavor a slightly fresher taste, bringing out the vibrancy of the blueberries. You’ve got to try it! Serve warm with soft butter, if desired.”
Here’s an idea for the bird found on Country Living. It’s called ‘Provencal Rub for Roast Turkey’ http://www.countryliving.com/recipefinder/provencal-rub-turkey-seasoning-recipe

Speaking of tasty recipes, I had an opportunity to spend some time with Kathy Gehrt this past week at the Ontario Lavender Conference. She authored the book Discover Cooking with Lavender. I’ve been looking through it and it’s full great recipes. I’m particularly looking forward to trying her Roasted Pork Tenderloin with Garlic and Herb Crust. Makes me hungry just thinking about it. This is one book you should have in your kitchen library.

Hope all of you have a Great Thanksgiving.
