Lavender – Ordering Info

September 15th, 2016 by Jacki

ROYAL-VELVET-3

With Fall rapidly closing in, here’s a reminder for those who saw our previous post and new info for those of you who didn’t. Any orders for plants, both wholesale and retail, will not ship until April of 2017.

For our wholesale customers, plan now and get your orders in before the end of the year to secure your plants for spring. Remember that we have a 4 tray minimum order. (Tip – Order even numbers of trays – they fit more securely in our shipping boxes) To place your order go to our wholesale page, download and complete the order form and submit to us via email (info@victorslavender.com) or fax (360 683-7830).

A note on shipping – it’s expensive. Many of you are unpleasantly surprised at the cost and we don’t blame you. We are continually looking for more economical ways to ship our plants to arrive at your location safely and in good health. Unfortunately the options are few. A box with 4 trays will weigh between 48 and 52 pounds and cost to ship is between $50 and $100+ depending on your location. Time in transit is critical and we have found that we have had the most success with Priority Mail for those orders going to the Midwest and East Coast. Rumor has it that UPS will be raising rates after Christmas this year.

As always, if you have questions the best way to contact us is by sending us an email.  The ‘Man with the Answers’ is traveling far and wide this fall with consulting but we will respond as quickly as possible.

On another note – be sure to check out our products under the Retail Store Tab.       CHRISTMAS BOX CONTENTS
Many of the products we make here on the farm are available to our wholesale customers for resale in gift shops. Contact us at products@victorslavender.com for more information.

We opened Memorial Day weekend and will be open through Labor Day. We are open Tuesday – Sunday from 10 – 5. Come see us and say ‘Hi’ to Maribel. She’ll be happy to talk with you about any of our products.

Be sure to mark your calendars and visit the farm during Sequim Lavender Weekend, July 17 – 19. We’ll be here 9 – 6 for the event and we’ll have tons of stuff going on here. You won’t want to miss it.

About our Products

Our products are all made here on our farm with ingredients that are organic and vegetable based, free from pesticides and herbicides and never tested on animals. Our many varieties of lavender oil are distilled here in the Sequim Dungeness Valley or at our Lake Chelan lavender farm.

Our products were developed by Moose Dreams Lavender Company. Beth and Barb have created and produced these wonderful products for more than 15 years and earned a great reputation and loyal following throughout the country. When they decided to retire in 2012 they joined forces with Victor and Maribel, sharing their knowledge and secrets in order to continue to have these great products available.

Almost as far back as recorded history lavender has been used for its healing properties, its power to relax the spirit, ease the pains of mind and body and to purify the air. Lavender is a natural antiseptic, it is used to relieve muscle aches, headaches, burns, insect bites and is well known to induce peaceful slumber. When used in steam inhalation it is an effective remedy for coughs and chest congestion. These are just a few of the amazing properties of the ancient herb – the list goes on and on.

Here at Victor’s Lavender we truly enjoy bringing the magic of natural herbs to our customers. We are also committed to being a ‘green’ company and using as much recycled and recyclable materials in our packaging and advertising as possible. A portion of the profit from the sale of our animal products is donated to animal welfare and rescue organizations.

Stop by and stock up on all your favorite products or try out some new ones from goatmilk lotions and cremes to products for your pets, soft cuddly toys for the kids to beautiful Ashdene products for your home.

Our New Store

Our New Store

We are so excited to announce the June 4th opening of our new store right here on our growing grounds in Sequim.

We’ve been so busy shipping lavender plants that it has been a real challenge to have everything done but we’re ready!  Our good friends Beth Norris and Barbara Landbeck have been absolute treasures. My wife, Maribel, Beth and Barb have all spent many long hours converting a portion of our drying barn into a really charming place to display all of our products. We’ll have it packed full of the great products we offer in our web store. You will be able experience the wonderful  scents of our body mists, the softening qualities of our goat milk cremes and lotions as well as an opportunity to browse our selection of products for your home. We haven’t forgotten about the pets either. We will have our entire line of pet products available too. As the season progresses we will again have both fresh and dried lavender bundles ready for you to take home and enjoy.

Be sure to mark you calendar to come by and say hi. If you are local or just passing through – we’d love to see you.

We truly want to thank all our friends and family who worked so hard to help us make this happen.

Cleopatra’s Beauty Secret – Goat’s Milk!

September 13th, 2012 by victor

History has it that Cleopatra used goat’s milk to maintain her beautiful skin. Just might be something to that. Though most of us don’t have the luxury of a daily dip in a goat milk bath we can use the next best thing – Goat Milk Soap. The benefits are many. It’s close to the natural pH of human skin so it won’t dry your skin. The gentle exfoliating properties of Alpha-hydroxy contained in goat milk helps rejuvenate your skin, reducing wrinkles and signs of aging. (Yes!) The butter fat naturally moisturizes, saving money on all those lotions you buy to put back what regular soaps take away.  It contains vitamins that nourish and proteins that kill the bacteria that cause acne.  Gentle on sensitive skin. Best of all there are none of the chemicals used in your everyday big brand store bought soaps. Once you try it – you’ll never go back. And…Better yet…..We have begun producing these great products ourselves so be sure to watch for this and other fantastic Goat Milk products soon to be available in our store.

Lavandula Angustifolia – Folgate

Find Folgate At Victor's Lavender Farm Beginning in April

Find Folgate At Victor's Lavender Farm Beginning in April

A tiny bush that packs a big wallop. This variety of English lavender is one of the best oil producers and is considered the best for producing high-yield crops for culinary uses, etc. Folgate is a tiny bush with narrow, small leaves and a sweet aroma. If you like cooking with lavender or enjoy the sweet smell in potpourri and sachets you will love this plant. Ever thought about Lavender Latte? Or Tea? How about Lavender Ice Cream. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination. Plant some in your garden and see for yourself.
