Lavender Growers – Now is the Time to Order – SAVE 10%

Plant Trays Ready to Ship

For the next few months I will be propagating lavender for planting next spring. For those of you who plan ahead (as we all swear we will do) now is the time to place your order for next spring shipment. This helps in two ways, one – you don’t have to think about it again, and two – I know what to grow so that everyone will have the varieties and quantities they need when it is time to plant. Doesn’t that sound like a great plan. I would hate to disappoint anyone by not having the variety or quantity they are looking for when planting time rolls around. Placing your pre-season order now guarantees that your plants will be ready when you are. As an added bonus if you order before December 31, 2012 you will receive a 10% discount on your plants.

Minimum order is two trays which, coincidentally, fit very securely in our shipping boxes. (How clever is that?) The plant trays are bundled and packaged to arrive safely at your door.

Ready to Label and Ship

To place your order, download the order form on our website, fill it out and fax it to us at 360 683-7830 or you can email us with your request. Please be sure to print clearly on your form as faxes tend to get a little fuzzy sometimes. If you don’t see a particular variety on the order form give us a call. We may have it or will find it for you.

So, all you wholesale growers, let’s sleep a little easier this winter. Place your orders now.

Cleopatra’s Beauty Secret – Goat’s Milk!

September 13th, 2012 by victor

History has it that Cleopatra used goat’s milk to maintain her beautiful skin. Just might be something to that. Though most of us don’t have the luxury of a daily dip in a goat milk bath we can use the next best thing – Goat Milk Soap. The benefits are many. It’s close to the natural pH of human skin so it won’t dry your skin. The gentle exfoliating properties of Alpha-hydroxy contained in goat milk helps rejuvenate your skin, reducing wrinkles and signs of aging. (Yes!) The butter fat naturally moisturizes, saving money on all those lotions you buy to put back what regular soaps take away.  It contains vitamins that nourish and proteins that kill the bacteria that cause acne.  Gentle on sensitive skin. Best of all there are none of the chemicals used in your everyday big brand store bought soaps. Once you try it – you’ll never go back. And…Better yet…..We have begun producing these great products ourselves so be sure to watch for this and other fantastic Goat Milk products soon to be available in our store.

Victor Gonzalez & Dr. Tim Upson

We were pleased to welcome Dr. Tim Upson to our farm during his stay in Sequim. Dr. Upson is the Garden Curator and Deputy Director of the Cambridge University Botanic Gardens and co-authored the book The Genus Lavandula with Susyn Andrews. This book has become the ‘Go To’ reference source for anyone interested in lavender. Tim was the Keynote Speaker at the this year’s Sequim International Lavender Conference that was held this past April. Our thanks to Tim for joining us and to the hard working members of the Sequim Lavender Farmers Association that made the conference such a great success.

Another great conference to put on your calendar will be the Southwest Lavender Conference in Grand Junction, Colorado coming up the end of this month. For more information on this go to  These conferences are great source for information. There is always something new to be learned from lots of people willing to share their knowledge and experience. Plan to join them. On behalf of Victor’s Lavender, we wish them great success with this years conference.
